The Collection

A focused selection of furniture and sculptural objects drawn from documented Ethren work — pieces with enough presence, craft, and identity to stand on their own.

From the workshop

Each piece begins with proportion, material, and use. Some belong permanently to an interior; others are built for a specific event or moment. All are selected here because the object remains distinct from its setting.

Made by hand

How a piece is built

A woodworker refining a timber joint by hand

Brief and proportion

The piece begins with its purpose, setting, and the scale it needs to hold in the room.

Material and structure

Material, supports, openings, and connections are resolved together before fabrication begins.

Built at full scale

Parts are cut, joined, assembled, and checked in the workshop so proportion and stability can be judged directly.

Finish and placement

The final surface is applied after the form is resolved, then the piece is prepared for delivery or installation.
