Ethren / FAQ
Questions,
answered.
What we make, who we work with, and what to expect from the first conversation through fabrication and installation.
What does Ethren Group make?
We work in three areas: custom woodwork for residential and commercial interiors; original furniture and objects through the Signature Collection; and exhibition, retail, showroom, and event environments.
Who do you work with?
We work with private clients, architects, interior designers, builders, businesses, hospitality teams, retailers, brands, and other creative collaborators. The right team depends on the scope of the project.
What is included in custom woodwork?
Custom work can include kitchens, bathroom cabinetry, closets, wardrobes, built-ins, TV units, wall paneling, architectural details, tables, seating, storage, and other one-of-a-kind furniture. Design development, fabrication, finishing, and installation can be included according to the project.
What is the Signature Collection?
The Signature Collection is Ethren’s own design practice: original furniture, lighting, and functional objects developed through material and craft studies. Pieces may be one of one, produced in small runs, or offered as numbered limited editions when appropriate.
Do you create exhibition stands and retail displays?
Yes. We design and fabricate retail and showroom furniture, exhibition stands, displays, temporary installations, and event structures. On-site installation can be included in the agreed scope.
Do I need drawings or a finished brief?
No. A room, a practical need, a reference, a rough sketch, or the beginning of an idea is enough to start. We use the first conversation to understand the place, purpose, constraints, and desired character.
Can you work with my architect, designer, or builder?
Yes. Ethren can work directly with a client or alongside architects, interior designers, builders, fabricators, and other project partners. Responsibilities and deliverables are clarified before work begins.
How does the process work?
The typical path is conversation, direction, development, and making. We first define the need and place, then establish scope and material direction, resolve drawings and construction details, and move into fabrication and installation. The exact process may vary by commission.
How are prices established?
Pricing depends on scope, dimensions, materials, finish, engineering or coordination needs, fabrication complexity, delivery, and installation. After an initial conversation, we can determine what information is needed to prepare an appropriate proposal.
How long will a project take?
Timing depends on design development, approvals, material availability, fabrication complexity, and installation requirements. A project-specific schedule is discussed after the scope is understood and is confirmed in the applicable proposal or agreement.
Where is Ethren Group based?
The studio is based in Stuart, Florida. Delivery, travel, and installation requirements are evaluated for each project rather than assumed.
How do I start a project?
Use the project enquiry form and share what you are considering, where the project is located, and any known timing or practical requirements. We normally reply within two business days.
