Custom Backdrops

One venue. One backdrop. It will not fit anywhere else — that is why it works.

We do not start with a shape. We start with your room — the wall that catches shadow at 4pm, the floor that is not level, where the camera will stand.

Then we draw a backdrop that belongs there and only there. One wall that makes the vows legible, or a whole environment that guides people without a sign.

Scope & materials

What we draw — and why it is specific

A good backdrop is not a shape copied from Pinterest. It is a measurement taken where your wall is not plumb, where the sun hits at 5pm, where the photographer will stand and be glad the seam is not behind the couple.

  • Ceremony and aisle marks · freestanding on carpet or deck, anchored only when the venue says yes — otherwise weighted, not hoped
  • Press and step-and-repeat walls · height set to camera, light set to skin, not to the catalogue
  • Activation rooms · modular bays that truck as flat packs and make 10x10, 10x20, or an L on site without a saw
  • Retail and pop-up interiors · walls that hide the existing tile, plinths that bring product to hand height
  • One dinner, one wall · a piece that makes 12 people feel they are in a room, not a hall

Approach & execution

Lead time and why we do not rush it

From the day you say that drawing is right, count four to eight weeks. A stained ash arch in dry air is different from a painted wall that will be humid. The finish, the joint, the way it knocks down decides the clock.

You see plan, elevation, and the joint before we cut. Material, finish, and hardware are signed off together. The install window is written then — not invented the week before.

Approach & execution

After the night

Most custom pieces are built so they can live again. If you want to keep it, we give you the case and the sheet. If you want it to earn, we add it to the rental library — finished for handling, with your name on the build line. No extra design fee to make it rentable later; we build it that way from the start if you ask.

How this service runs.

A measured sequence. Each step is confirmed in writing before the next begins.

Brief

Place, surface, audience, and role in the broader design. Venue photos, plan, and access notes confirm constraints.

Direction

Proportion, material, and finish direction with reference and budget range. Approved direction locks scope and lead time.

Develop

Drawings, construction details, and material decisions resolved together before fabrication is released.

Make & install

Fabrication, finish, and dry-fit in shop; transport and install on site with handover. Strike or conversion per agreement.

After the photo

People in front, wood behind, light in between.

That is the test. Does it make the faces quiet and the room coherent?

Good to know before we start.

Direct answers. Full terms are documented in the written proposal.

Can we keep renting it out?

Often yes. If you allow it, we finish it for handling and add it to the library. Some clients like the idea that their backdrop has a life after the night.

Do you talk to my designer?

Please. We prefer to. We will measure with them, check anchoring, and keep the drawing set where everyone can read it.

What sets the price?

How big, how heavy, how far it travels, how it meets the floor. Design and build are one number, transport and install another — so you see where the wood ends and the truck begins.
